About the Event

Come and join us in experiencing the melodious vibes of a Mantra Ceremony, take yourself on a journey to free your mind of negative thoughts and feelings and access your true inner voice. Using the activations of mantra in a group setting you will feel the intense vibrations of healing and joy emanate throughout. Release your attachments and be free.

Follow along with the simple mantras which will be explained at the start of the session. The session's aim is to Rest in Mantra, we will create a safe and warm container for you to be held and feel the release and power of activating your heart and soul.

This experience is brought to you by Gunar, a spiritual teacher and founder of Wings to Awakening. Along with the musical facilitator Tommy Antonio, a singer, songwriter who brings a playful approach to group singing. He aims to expand the experience of mantra singing with a focus on a group experience, where each individual can contribute to a greater musical whole.

More info about the experience:

A Mantra Ceremony is a safe, open-hearted space for us to sit together and express gratitude and honour to our being. Using guidance from Tommy and Gunar you will experience a musically fulfilling journey through Rest in Mantra that will take you inwards towards self-healing. The Ceremony is a mindful, spiritual experience, a time for reflection, pause, and renewal.

The event will be guided in a very easy way so that everyone has an opportunity to feel, share and express. The experience can bring up emotions and Satori (comprehension, understanding, insight, deep experience of one’s nature), which we welcome and invite everyone to contribute to holding sacred space for each other with support.

You will be guided by the facilitators, to use your instrument, to trust your voice, you will feel the power of joining in union with members of the community and hearing the resonance of voices, without focusing on how you sound, but feeling into the energetic resonance of the mantra, and the combined creation of sound vibration.

There will be 3-4 mantras that we will sing, after each mantra we will hold a moment of silence to allow everyone to integrate and feel the true power of mantra in the community. You may feel elated, or still and calm, feel into it whatever rises in you. We will explore and lean into these feelings you will be held and supported by Gunar and Tommy to dive deep into that which comes up.

In the break between each mantra there will be light refreshments and teas available. The event will last 3-4 hours and will end with a closing circle where you are invited to share your experience.

Please respect everyone’s individual experience, some may experience this very intensely others may feel it more subtly, please take a minute with us all to tune into that energy.

You do not have to be a professional singer to join, everyone has the capability to access the power of their voice.

There is no pressure on performance or being perfect, we welcome all voices to settle in and join this community in a space of healing.

What to bring:

  • Shawl
  • Musical instrument (optional)
  • Flowers or plants to decorate the space
  • Candle (any colour)
  • Snacks to share (preferably homemade)

Practice is purely donation-based (there is a suggested donation of £24-35) and is open to all. We kindly ask you to register so that we can predict the total number of participants and make part or full donation depending on your possibilities. Together the sacred space, containment of healing and transformation by Gunar, the musical guidance by Tommy, and all of your participation we are charging our energy to a healing vibration for the land which we sit on and further out to the community and city which is a needed relief in these challenging times we are seeing in the world today. Get ready to relax and rejuvenate at REST IN MANTRA, a soul-soothing event filled with calming energy, serene and sacred mantras, to nourish your souls before the solstice and end of the year.
